“Maybe I’m crazy, but I always feel like someone is watching me.”

"Y/N? Are you ready to get going?” You looked up to where your mother was stood, holding your basket in her hand, holding it out to you.

“I am,” you said, taking the basket and tugging the strings on your hoodie a little. It would be getting dark soon, so you had to hurry if you wanted to get to your grandmother’s house before dark.

Your mother smiled, kissing your forehead, “you’re so cute!” She cooed, pinching your cheeks until you snickered, pushing her hands away as you both laughed.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” your mother said, “be careful, stay on the path, don’t talk to strangers, and be wary of wolves!” She warned.

“I will, Mama,” you replied, “don’t worry about me, okay?”

She smiled softly, nodding, “yes, but you are my baby!” She said, pouting, “I can’t not worry about you!”

You nodded back at her, “Bye, Mama,” you said, rolling your eyes a little as you walked outside. Your mother was always so worried about things like this. No one had seen wolves for years, or hybrids either. It was thought that they all passed away after humans pushed them out of society.

You hadn’t seen any wolves or any hybrids ever in your entire life, and you weren’t worried them coming after you. You lived in a small town, and everyone knew each other, so if anyone had seen a hybrid or a wolf, the news would spread fast.

You started down the path, humming softly as you walked. Your grandmother only lived a few miles away so you would get there fast.

Soon, you found yourself deep in the forest. It was spring, and the air was warm and smelled like life. Birds in the trees sang their sweet songs, a few deer walked out onto the path but bolted when they saw you, and all was well.

It was a beautiful day to go for a walk.

“Oh, what do we have here?”

You paused where you stood when a soft voice spoke from the trees, you turned slightly to your left, seeing a man standing in the trees. He had soft looking skin, curly blonde hair, plump lips, and was wearing some sort of rugged clothing, much like a farmer would wear.

“I’m just walking,” you said softly, your breath catching when you spotted the furry ears that sat on top of his head. He hummed, putting his hands behind his back and strolling from the treeline.

“Just walking?” He asked quietly, “are you sure?” He nodded to your basket, “it looks like you’re taking something to someone.”

You swallowed, looking at the hybrid. How the hell was he here?! How was there a hybrid here?!

“I’m giving this to my grandmother,” you choked out, “I-I really should be going-”

“Ah, but I just got here!” He mock whines, coming closer and circling you, looking you up and down slowly, humming to himself.

“Don’t you wanna spend some time with me?” He asked, pouting and giving you puppy dog eyes.

You clenched your lists, shook your head, “I don’t,” you said firmly, “I have to go now.”

“Do you now?” He asked, falling into step beside you, “why don’t you stay for a bit? I’d love to get to know you better. Wouldn’t you like to get to me know me too?”

“No,” you said, keeping your eyes forward, “please leave me alone.”

The hybrid pouted some more, but he seemed to lag behind after a moment, and soon you didn’t hear his footsteps at all and when you looked back, he wasn’t there.

You breathed a sigh of relief, walking forward with more purpose and soon, you saw your grandmother’s house in the distance.

“Grandma?” You called out as you opened the door, it was unlocked. Why was it unlocked?

“Grandma?’ You called again as you stepped inside, gasping when the door slammed behind you.

You whirled around to see the same hybrid from before.

“W-what are you doing here?!” You gasped, stepping backwards in fear, dropping your basket. Baked goods tumbled onto the ground, but you ignored them.

“Just stepping in,” he cooed, walking forward, “from the moment I saw you, I knew that I need to have you as my own.”

“You can’t-” you started to say, but he was already grabbing you by your arm and shoving you against the wall.

“Where is my grandmother?!” You gasped, struggling in his grasp as he grabbed your chin tightly.

“She’s long gone,” he rumbled, “my team has already descended upon your town, and we will rip them to shreds,” he leaned in, grinning with huge teeth.

“You have no choice,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to your lips, giggling at your horrified sound, “you’re gonna be mine! My little red riding hood..”
